Group D: movement type
This group tests how GPS accuracy changes with the way a person moves during a stay: sitting still, moving a little, walking slowly or going in and out of a building.
Each session has 12 planned stops (below). After those, stops 13 to 16 are free: the participant picks any four places and stays at least 10 minutes at each.
Inside = inside a building. 2F-4F = second to fourth floor. Duration = the minimum time to stay.
| Stop | Context | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Completely stationary, inside or building-attached outdoor (cafe) | 30+ min |
| 2 | Stationary, open space (bench) | 20+ min |
| 3 | Stationary, street or inside, short | 10+ min |
| 4 | Micro-movement within a 2-3 m radius, inside (browsing) | 15+ min |
| 5 | Micro-movement in a cafe or restaurant | 20+ min |
| 6 | Slow drift on a street (window shopping) | 15+ min |
| 7 | Slow drift inside (gallery or shop) | 15+ min |
| 8 | Slow continuous walk through a covered arcade | 10+ min |
| 9 | Pacing back and forth (~5 m), open space or street | 10+ min |
| 10 | Standing still while turning around, open space or street | 15+ min |
| 11 | Moving between 2-3 spots in one multi-floor building | 20+ min |
| 12 | Crossing in and out of a building 2-3 times | 12+ min |
