Group E: ambiguous edge cases
This group tests places where even a person could argue about the right answer: a building entrance, a cafe terrace, a building corner or a covered arcade.
Each session has 12 planned stops (below). After those, stops 13 to 16 are free: the participant picks any four places and stays at least 10 minutes at each.
Inside = inside a building. 2F-4F = second to fourth floor. Duration = the minimum time to stay.
| Stop | Context | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Just inside a building entrance (within 1 m) | 15+ min |
| 2 | Just outside the same entrance, on the sidewalk | 10+ min |
| 3 | Window seat, within 0.5 m of a street-facing window | 15+ min |
| 4 | Outdoor cafe terrace clearly part of a building | 20+ min |
| 5 | Edge of a building's outdoor area, near the street | 15+ min |
| 6 | Building setback plaza (private property, public access) | 12+ min |
| 7 | Equidistant between two buildings (2-3 m from both) | 10+ min |
| 8 | At an exterior building corner | 10+ min |
| 9 | Center of a covered arcade | 15+ min |
| 10 | Junction of an underground passage and basement shops | 10+ min |
| 11 | Elevated pedestrian walkway or bridge | 10+ min |
| 12 | Ground-level outdoor area under or beside a tall building | 12+ min |
